btS e.V. Ulm looks back on an exciting day at the University of Ulm. On May 20, 2015 for the first time took the life science career fair BioChemContact (BCC) held at the Forum of the University of Ulm, specifically aimed at students, postgraduates and graduates from the life sciences.
Nearly a thousand students and graduates took advantage despite the rail strike, the opportunity to learn more about their career options in industry and research and to establish contact with prospective employers. Overall, the fair offered with 11 exhibitors – including Boston Consulting Group (BCG), jobvector, Care Force, MARVECS, FERCHAU, BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg, Philipp Uhlemann Bewerbungsberatung and the International Graduate School in Molecular Medicine – a wide range of interesting content, which were evaluated by the students as very informative.
So the personal interview questions about career opportunities, internships, trainee programs and perspectives were answered within the company. MARVECS and Care Force informed about the job description of medical representatives.BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg offered the students at their booth a comprehensive guidance in the “jungle of possibilities” with the Biotech Guide Baden-Württemberg “, the more than 120 companies in the Baden-Württemberg” “are biotechnology sector information. Representatives of BCG drew attention to their booth and during a company presentation on the opportunities that graduates from the natural sciences as a management consultant might have in a global corporation. In addition jobvector informed within the framework of a lecture about possible entry opportunities and those present were able to discuss individual questions.
During the fair, there were for all visitors the opportunity for a free resume check by Philipp Uhlemann advice to their CVs and cover letters to pick up.
